At Slough House, the British intelligence service dumps the agents it wants to forget: screwups, burnouts, and people who made one career-ending mistake. Under the foul-tempered eye of Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman, this sidelined MI5 unit handles dead-end tasks and office punishment while the real action happens elsewhere. Then a live crisis pulls them into something bigger, and the misfits who were meant to be buried in paperwork start chasing leads that connect to the service’s internal rivalries and failures. As the case tightens, River Cartwright, played by Jack Lowden, pushes to prove he still belongs in the field, even if Slough House is built to make sure nobody gets a second chance.
