Angel-A

ComedyDramaFantasyRomance91 min

Andre is a broke Paris hustler with creditors closing in when a suicide attempt on the Pont Neuf is interrupted by Angela, a mysterious woman he pulls from the Seine. Jamel Debbouze's André is all nerves and bad improvisation; opposite him, Rie Rasmussen's Angela moves through the city with calm, almost supernatural purpose. As she inserts herself into his troubles, the film follows their uneasy partnership through black-and-white Paris, where debt collectors, scams, and the question of who Angela really is keep pressing in.
