Howl's Moving Castle

ActionAdventureAnimationAnimeFamilyFantasy119 min

Sophie, a young milliner, is transformed into an elderly woman by a witch’s curse, sending her from her hat shop into the wandering home of a mysterious wizard. In Hayao Miyazaki’s fantasy, Chieko Baishô is Sophie, navigating a world of magic, flying warships, and a castle that lurches across the countryside on mechanical legs. Takuya Kimura voices Howl, the powerful but elusive wizard who draws Sophie into his household just as he resists the king’s demands for war. Inside the castle, with a fire demon at its heart, Sophie’s attempt to lift the spell becomes entangled with Howl’s secrets and a kingdom sliding toward conflict.
