Spanish Movie
Comedy83 min
Recent Spanish film hits become targets in this broad spoof, which riffs on titles like The Others, Volver, Mar adentro, and Alatriste with slapstick set pieces and a stream of visual gags. Alexandra Jiménez and Silvia Abril sit at the center of a large comic ensemble as the film jumps between recognizable scenes, pop-culture nods, and surprise appearances. Rather than following one straight plot, it pieces together sketches and callbacks drawn from Spain’s popular cinema of the 2000s, turning familiar images and melodramatic setups into fast, exaggerated parody.
