The Rocker
Comedy102 min
After his band dumps him just before their 1980s breakthrough, a drummer spends the next 20 years stuck on the career that got away. Rainn Wilson is the failed musician who gets an unexpected shot at a comeback when his teenage nephew’s high school rock band needs a new drummer, and a viral song pushes them onto a bigger stage. Teddy Geiger and Emma Stone are among the younger bandmates trying to keep the group together while their much older new addition barrels in with stalled-out rock-star dreams, family baggage, and no instinct for acting his age.
