After violent offender Maggie Hayward is sent to the execution chamber, a covert government operative stages her death and drafts her into a secret program. Bridget Fonda is Maggie, pushed through a ruthless transformation from condemned prisoner to trained assassin, while Gabriel Byrne’s Bob oversees the process with icy control. As Maggie is taught new manners, new identities, and the mechanics of a clean hit, the film moves through safe houses, surveillance, and the uneasy gap between who she was and who the government needs her to become.
