A Bittersweet Life
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThriller120 min
Lee Byung-hun is Kim Sun-woo, the precise, controlled manager of a luxury hotel who also serves as enforcer for a ruthless crime boss. When his boss leaves on a business trip, Sun-woo is given a private assignment: watch the boss’s young mistress, Hee-soo (Shin Min-a), and confirm whether she’s seeing another man. The job sounds simple, but a single moment of disobedience turns Sun-woo from trusted lieutenant into a target. Kim Jee-woon’s film moves through the polished surfaces of the criminal underworld as loyalty, humiliation, and revenge start closing in on him.
