A Christmas Carol

DramaFamilyFantasy86 min

In Victorian London, miserly moneylender Ebenezer Scrooge shuts out Christmas and treats everyone around him with contempt, from his overworked clerk to the nephew who keeps inviting him to dinner. On Christmas Eve, his refusal to change is interrupted by a warning from his dead business partner, who tells him three spirits will visit before morning. As the night unfolds, Scrooge is forced to face scenes from his own past, the hardship in the Cratchit household, and the bleak future his choices are shaping. Alastair Sim centers the story as a man confronted with the human cost of the life he has made for himself.
