Jennifer Lopez is Marisa Ventura, a single mother working at a posh Manhattan hotel and trying to build a better life for her young son. A chance encounter with Ralph Fiennes's Christopher Marshall, a hotel guest and Senate candidate who mistakes her for a wealthy socialite, pulls her into a romance shaped by crossed identities and class lines. As their connection grows, the movie moves between the polished world of high-end suites and the tightly managed life of the staff who keep the place running, with Marisa caught between who she's taken for and who she is.
