The X-Files

CrimeDramaHorrorMysterySci-FiThriller45 min per episode

FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are assigned to the X-Files, a neglected corner of the bureau devoted to cases no one can explain. Mulder is convinced that aliens, monsters, and hidden government programs leave traces in the world; Scully, a doctor and skeptic, is sent to apply reason and procedure to his work. Each investigation starts like a crime scene or disappearance and opens into something stranger, from possible abductions to creatures in the dark. As they chase evidence, witnesses vanish, official stories shift, and a larger conspiracy keeps surfacing behind the isolated cases. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson anchor the partnership at the center of it.
