Rental Family
ComedyDrama110 min
Brendan Fraser is an American actor adrift in modern-day Tokyo who finds unexpected work at a rental family agency, where clients hire him to fill a role in their lives. Moving from one assignment to the next, he steps into private situations for strangers and starts forming connections that don’t stay neatly within the script. As the line between performance and everyday life begins to blur, the job forces him to confront what he owes the people he’s pretending to know. Takehiro Hira and Mari Yamamoto are part of the ensemble around him.
