Sovereign
CrimeDramaThriller100 min
Struggling single father Jerry pulls his teenage son Joe into the sovereign citizen movement, teaching him to treat laws as illusions and freedom as something you take. Nick Offerman’s Jerry turns that creed into a way of life, while Jacob Tremblay is Joe, the son learning his father’s rules alongside his anger and mistrust. As Jerry’s ideology tightens its hold, father and son move toward a confrontation with Police Chief John Bouchart. Dennis Quaid brings the other side of that clash into focus as a lawman who has spent his life defending the system Jerry is determined to reject.
