Independence Day

ActionAdventureSci-Fi145 min

Days before the Fourth of July, enormous alien ships take position over the world’s major cities, turning strange signals and burning skies into a coordinated assault on Earth. Jeff Goldblum’s David Levinson, a satellite engineer who spots the pattern, becomes part of a desperate response that stretches from military command centers to the Nevada desert. Bill Pullman is the U.S. president facing a global attack as fighter pilots, scientists, and shaken civilians are forced onto the same front line. Will Smith and Mary McDonnell are part of the ensemble caught in the widening chaos as the invasion spreads.
