The Talented Mr. Ripley
CrimeDramaThriller140 min
Tom Ripley is a young striver in 1950s New York who gets an unexpected ticket into wealth when a shipping magnate sends him to Italy to bring home his son. Matt Damon is Ripley, all borrowed polish and quick invention, slipping into the orbit of Jude Law's Dickie Greenleaf, a charming heir drifting through seaside luxury with Marge (Gwyneth Paltrow). What begins as a paid errand turns into fixation as Tom inserts himself deeper into their world, using charm, imitation, and lies to make himself indispensable.
