Buddies in India
ActionAdventureComedy99 min
After his father’s deathbed confession sends him looking for a hidden last will in India, Tang Sen sets off with his friend Wu Kong, turning a family errand into a chaotic cross-country search. Wang Baoqiang is Wu Kong, the quick-moving half of the duo, as the trip keeps expanding with new allies and complications. Along the way they pick up a loyal but offbeat fighter, with Yue Yunpeng adding to the comic friction, and a cagey woman connected to the chase. The film mixes buddy-comedy mishaps with fights, travel detours, and a quest shaped as much by the country’s unfamiliar terrain as by the will itself.
