Both Eyes Open
Thriller100 min
After escaping an abusive relationship, Ally begins hallucinating about her abuser and receiving cryptic messages that suggest he is still nearby. Gail Bean holds the center as Ally’s grip on what she’s seeing starts to slip, with Joy Brunson and Taye Diggs among the figures in a world that keeps turning uncertain around her. Director Ariel Julia Hairston keeps the focus tight on Ally’s unraveling perspective, where ordinary spaces take on a dreamlike unease and each new message makes the truth feel harder to pin down.
