It's Only the End of the World

Drama99 min

Gaspard Ulliel is Louis, a terminally ill writer who returns to his family home after 12 years away, intending to tell them he’s dying. The visit never settles into a confession: Nathalie Baye’s mother chatters past him, his older brother (Vincent Cassel) carries old resentments, and every attempt at small talk opens another wound. In French and largely confined to one tense reunion, the film follows Louis as he circles the news he came to share, caught between his own silence and a family too busy talking, accusing, and remembering to listen.
