Going Clear: Scientology & the Prison of Belief
Documentary120 min
Alex Gibney’s documentary profiles eight former Scientology members as they describe recruitment, devotion, and life inside the church, tracing its rise from L. Ron Hubbard’s teachings to the celebrity orbit around David Miscavige. Paul Haggis and Jason Beghe are among the former insiders on camera, recounting how the organization drew them in and what they say happened behind closed doors. Their testimony is paired with archival footage and media clips that sketch Scientology’s public image, its internal hierarchy, and the pressure ex-members describe when they tried to leave.
