Hector and the Search for Happiness

ActionAdventureComedyDrama120 min

Hector is a successful psychiatrist who has grown tired of his humdrum life and uneasy about the advice he gives. Simon Pegg is Hector, whose mounting sense that he’s a fraud pushes him to leave home and go looking for an answer to why some people seem happy and others don’t. Before he leaves, he confides in Rosamund Pike’s Clara, the girlfriend he’s leaving behind. The story follows Hector from his consulting room into a globe-spanning chain of encounters, including stops in places like China, as his search turns his private doubt into a series of comic, awkward, and revealing situations.
