Twelve-year-old Conor is overwhelmed by school bullying and his mother’s terminal illness when an ancient tree monster begins visiting him at night. Lewis MacDougall is Conor, a boy caught between fear, anger, and the stories the creature insists on telling. Felicity Jones appears as his ailing mother, while Sigourney Weaver’s stern grandmother looms over the household. The monster, voiced by Liam Neeson, arrives as both a frightening presence and an unlikely guide, pulling Conor’s grief, imagination, and daily life into the same dark space.
