The Kid Detective

ComedyDramaMystery99 min

In a small town that still remembers his childhood fame, 31-year-old detective Abe Applebaum (Adam Brody) spends his days solving petty cases between hangovers and self-pity. Then Sophie Nélisse’s Caroline walks into his office with a murder to solve: who killed her boyfriend. What starts as the first “adult” case of Abe’s stalled career pulls him away from missing-cat mysteries and into something harsher, forcing the former boy wonder to test whether his old instincts still mean anything now that the stakes are no longer small.
