ComedyDramaRomance97 min
After a masked young man claiming to be Don Juan is taken to a psychiatric hospital, Dr. Jack Mickler agrees to treat him and sort delusion from performance. Johnny Depp is John Arnold DeMarco, wrapped in a cape and elaborate romantic memories, utterly convinced he is the world’s greatest lover. Across their sessions, Marlon Brando’s Mickler finds the case reaching beyond the ward’s clinical routines. DeMarco’s stories, courtly manner, and unwavering fantasy begin to work on the doctor himself, stirring questions about desire, reality, and the complacency that has settled over his own marriage.
