Serena
DramaRomance109 min
In the North Carolina mountains at the end of the 1920s, newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton set out to build a timber empire and bend the region to their will. Jennifer Lawrence is Serena, as comfortable overseeing loggers as she is in the wilderness, while Bradley Cooper’s George matches her ambition as money, land, and influence accumulate around them. Their marriage is tied to the business itself, and the couple’s push for control pulls in workers, rivals, and local authorities as hidden parts of George’s past begin to press against the life they’ve built.
