The Blue Lagoon

ActionAdventureDramaRomance104 min

After a shipwreck strands two children and a ship's cook on a South Pacific island, the cook dies and the boy and girl are left to raise themselves far from civilization. Brooke Shields is Emmeline, growing from child to teenager alongside Christopher Atkins's Richard as the pair learn to find food, make shelter, and navigate adolescence in complete isolation. Years pass among bright water, dense vegetation, and unfamiliar wildlife, and their improvised home becomes both refuge and closed world as childhood dependence gives way to a more complicated bond.
