Jojo Rabbit

ComedyDramaWar108 min

In Nazi Germany during World War II, Jojo is a lonely boy in the Hitler Youth whose closest companion is a childish, imaginary Adolf Hitler. Roman Griffin Davis is Jojo, a kid whose certainty starts to crack when he discovers that his mother Rosie (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl in their home. As he begins a wary connection with Elsa (Thomasin McKenzie), the slogans and fantasies that shaped his world run up against what he sees for himself. Taika Waititi frames the story through a child’s-eye view of propaganda, fear, and a household keeping dangerous secrets.
