In 2048, a police detective returns to work in a city where advanced technology has made violent crime smarter and harder to contain. Scarred by a past ambush and distrustful of synthetic partners, he is assigned an android whose behavior is anything but standard. As they investigate murders, thefts, and black-market tech, each case pulls them deeper into a world of hacked implants, weaponized robotics, and corporations shaping the rules from above. Karl Urban and Michael Ealy anchor the central partnership as suspicion, clashing methods, and an uneasy respect drive the series from one futuristic investigation to the next.
