The Debt

DramaThriller113 min

When a man claiming to be the Surgeon of Birkenau resurfaces 30 years after a covert Mossad mission, former agent Rachel Singer is pulled back toward the secret that made her a celebrated figure in Israel. Helen Mirren is Rachel in the present day, while Jessica Chastain traces her younger self through 1965 East Berlin, where three agents crossed behind the Iron Curtain to seize a notorious Nazi war criminal. As the story shifts between the failed mission and its aftermath, old loyalties, official legend, and private memory start to pull apart.
