Sleepless Town

ActionCrimeDramaRomance122 min

Kenichi moves through Kabukicho’s criminal underworld as a half-Japanese, half-Chinese fixer who can handle almost any deal while rival Shanghai gangs push to take control of the district. When word spreads that his former partner Fu-Chun has returned after years in hiding, old loyalties and unfinished business pull Kenichi back toward a violent score. Takeshi Kaneshiro leads the film’s web of gang bosses, smugglers, and fugitives, with Mirai Yamamoto among the figures circling his increasingly dangerous position. The story folds romance into its underworld intrigue, all against the crowded nightlife and shifting alliances of Kabukicho.
