Candy
DramaRomance108 min
Dan, an aspiring poet, falls for art student Candy, and their romance quickly becomes tangled up with the heroin habit at the center of his bohemian life. Heath Ledger’s Dan pulls Abbie Cornish’s Candy into a world of intoxication, obsession, and the belief that the two of them can stay ahead of the damage. Geoffrey Rush appears as a fatherly chemistry professor who indulges the couple as their dependency deepens. In this Australian drama, love and addiction keep feeding each other as Dan and Candy try to build a life together and then claw their way back from what they’ve chosen.
