Blow-Up

DramaMysteryThriller111 min

1960s London narrows around a successful fashion photographer after he snaps two lovers in a park and, back in the darkroom, starts to suspect he has caught a death on film. David Hemmings carries the film through studios, clubs, marijuana haze, and a life crowded with models yet drained of direction; Vanessa Redgrave is the elusive woman who wants the pictures back. Michelangelo Antonioni turns the city’s mod surfaces, pop music, and image-making into the frame for a mystery built from enlargements, absences, and what may or may not be visible.
