Noa is worn down by dating apps and bad first dates when a chance meeting in a grocery store leads her to Steve, an awkwardly charming stranger who seems like a better option. Daisy Edgar-Jones is Noa, cautiously hopeful after their first date, while Sebastian Stan’s Steve quickly shifts from flirtation to something far more unsettling when he invites her away for a romantic weekend. What begins as a contemporary dating story takes a sharp turn once Noa realizes Steve has been hiding unusual appetites, and the film leans into the overlap between courtship, control, and bodily horror.
