In Harm's Way

DramaRomanceWar165 min

After Pearl Harbor leaves his career under a cloud, a U.S. Navy officer is eventually promoted to rear admiral and sent back into the Pacific with a second chance against the Japanese. John Wayne is the veteran officer at the center, balancing command decisions with the strain on his personal life; Patricia Neal figures prominently in the film’s romantic thread, and Kirk Douglas is among the officers around him. Moving between island bases, naval operations, and the aftermath waiting ashore, the story links wartime strategy to damaged reputations and relationships.
