The Expendables

ActionAdventureThriller103 min

Barney Ross leads a hard-used crew of mercenaries on a covert job to overthrow a Latin American dictator on a remote island. Sylvester Stallone is Barney, with Jason Statham’s Lee Christmas beside him as the team’s blade expert. The assignment starts as a paid hit, then opens into a murkier operation tied to a corrupt ex-CIA operative and an armed regime. Directed by Stallone, the film brings together a stack of action veterans for boat insertions, knife fights, gunfire, and hand-to-hand combat.
