The Equalizer

Denzel Washington is Robert McCall, a quiet Boston man determined to leave his mysterious past behind and stick to a solitary routine. After he crosses paths with Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a young girl trapped under the control of brutal Russian gangsters, that self-imposed retirement starts to crack. McCall’s hidden training turns a small act of protection into a wider fight against organized crime, corruption, and the men who assume nobody will stand in their way. Antoine Fuqua keeps the action close and precise, with McCall relying on surveillance, improvised weapons, and hand-to-hand skill as he steps back into violence.
