Margin Call

DramaThriller108 min

After a round of layoffs at a Wall Street investment firm, an entry-level analyst uncovers numbers that suggest the company is far more exposed than anyone wants to admit. Over one fraught 24-hour stretch in the opening phase of the 2008 financial crisis, the discovery climbs from cubicles to conference rooms as the firm’s leadership scrambles to understand what it means. Zachary Quinto is the analyst at the center of the alarm, while Jeremy Irons’ top executive arrives to weigh the fallout. Kevin Spacey and Paul Bettany are among the traders and managers forced into a night of calculations, damage control, and decisions that reach far beyond their own floor.
