Friend Request
HorrorMysteryThriller92 min
Alycia Debnam-Carey’s Laura is a college student with a busy social life and more than 800 Facebook friends, used to sharing nearly everything online. After she accepts a friend request from Marina, a withdrawn classmate she barely knows, Laura becomes the center of a supernatural curse that starts creeping through her account, her friendships, and her life on campus. As the threat spreads from screen to screen, the people around her are pulled in too, including one of her closest friends, with William Moseley among Laura’s circle. The film ties campus horror to the mechanics of social media, turning posts, tags, and notifications into part of the threat.
