A tropical holiday turns dangerous when several families are led to a secluded beach where time suddenly accelerates, aging everyone at a horrifying pace and collapsing an entire lifetime into a single day. Gael García Bernal and Vicky Krieps are among the parents caught in the trap, alongside other vacationers played by Rufus Sewell and Nikki Amuka-Bird, as the group tries to understand what’s happening and get off the shore. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, the film keeps its focus on the beach’s closed-off geography, the strain inside each family, and the terror of bodies changing faster than anyone can process.
