Doug Harris (Josh Gad), an awkward groom with no close friends, has less than two weeks to find a best man before his wedding. He turns to Kevin Hart's Jimmy Callahan, who runs Best Man, Inc., a business built on supplying polished stand-ins for socially stranded clients. As Jimmy assembles a fake wedding party and coaches Doug through the part, the arrangement grows into a larger charade just as Doug is trying to marry his fiancée (Kaley Cuoco). The movie centers on the scramble to keep the wedding story straight while Doug and Jimmy improvise an unlikely friendship.
