Peking Opera Blues
ActionAdventureComedyDrama105 min
In 1913 Beijing, a rebel in disguise, an opera heiress, and a woman hunting stolen jewels are pulled into the same mission: getting a document out of a soldier’s vault before rival forces do. Brigitte Lin is Tsao Wan, moving through the city under cover, while Sally Yeh’s Pat Neil and Cherie Chung’s Sheung Hung collide with her in a tangle of mistaken identities, shifting loyalties, and backstage chaos. The story moves between political unrest and the world of Peking Opera, using costumes, hidden passages, and theater corridors as the ground for chases, schemes, and comedy.
