Ninotchka

ComedyRomance110 min

Sent from Moscow to Paris on official business, Greta Garbo is Ninotchka, a stern Soviet envoy whose discipline starts to slip when she meets a suave Parisian man-about-town. Opposite her, Melvyn Douglas brings an easy sophistication to the figure who represents everything she is meant to distrust. The romance unfolds amid hotel salons, boutiques, and drawing rooms, where political satire and culture clash run through every conversation about money, manners, and desire.
