E.B., the Easter Bunny’s teenage son, heads for Hollywood instead of taking over the family business, determined to become a drummer. Russell Brand voices the runaway rabbit opposite James Marsden’s Fred, an out-of-work slacker who accidentally hits E.B. with his car and ends up sheltering a loud, demanding houseguest. While Fred scrambles to get his own life together, E.B.’s absence throws Easter Island into chaos, and an ambitious chick starts eyeing the top job. Live action and animation collide in a candy-colored comedy built around clashing roommates, backstage dreams, and a very busy holiday.
