Eric Stoltz is Zed, an American safecracker who heads to Paris after an old friend invites him in on a Bastille Day score at the city’s only open bank. Eric (Jean-Hugues Anglade) has a crew, a plan, and a dangerous heroin habit, and the robbery starts coming apart almost immediately. What begins as a clean job turns into a hostage crisis and a bloody standoff, with Zed trapped inside the bank and pulled in another direction by Julie Delpy’s Zoe, a call girl he met the night before.
