La Femme Nikita
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThriller117 min
After killing a policeman during a botched robbery, Nikita is officially declared dead and pulled into a secret French government program that turns condemned criminals into assassins. Anne Parillaud is Nikita, a volatile young felon remade through weapons drills, etiquette lessons, and covert assignments; Jeanne Moreau's polished mentor and Tchéky Karyo's unsmiling handler oversee the transformation. Luc Besson tracks the tension between the identity the agency builds for her and the life she tries to pass off as her own, as each mission pulls her deeper into a system built on surveillance, discipline, and violence.
