Sean and Beverly Lincoln, a British husband-and-wife writing team, head to Los Angeles to remake their hit sitcom for an American network and quickly watch it slip out of their hands. Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig carry the professional panic and the strain it puts on the marriage, while Matt LeBlanc turns up as a sharpened, self-mocking version of himself — the star the network suddenly wants at the center of their show. As executives, notes, and ego take over, their original series is reshaped into something glossier, broader, and much less recognizably theirs.
