Trouble with the Curve
DramaRomance111 min
Clint Eastwood is Gus Lobel, a longtime Atlanta Braves scout whose failing eyesight threatens the one skill his career has depended on. As the draft approaches and the front office questions his read on a North Carolina prospect, Gus heads out on one more scouting trip with his estranged daughter, Mickey. Amy Adams gives Mickey the counterweight Gus doesn’t ask for: a high-powered Atlanta attorney pulled back into a father-daughter dynamic she left behind. On the road, they cross paths with Johnny (Justin Timberlake), a former player turned scout whose interest in Mickey adds another layer to an already tense trip.
