Wild at Heart
ComedyCrimeDramaRomanceThriller125 min
After breaking parole, Sailor Ripley hits the road with Lula Fortune, hoping to outrun her mother’s wrath and make a new start in California. Nicolas Cage is Sailor, a drifter with a snakeskin jacket and a short fuse, while Laura Dern’s Lula stays fiercely attached to him as the pair move from motels to back roads with hired killers closing in. Directed by David Lynch, the film twists its lovers-on-the-run setup into something stranger and more volatile, filling their flight with grotesque side characters, sudden violence, and the dreamlike detours that keep pulling the couple off course.
