Men of Plastic
ComedyCrimeDrama112 min
Ma Dong-seok’s Dae-guk is an unemployed Apgujeong busybody who sees opportunity in Seoul’s rising cosmetic surgery trade. In 2007 Gangnam, he joins forces with Ji-woo (Jung Kyung-ho), a skilled but distant plastic surgeon whose medical license has been revoked, and pushes to turn connections, persistence, and surgical talent into a lucrative new business. As Dae-guk inserts himself into every deal and Ji-woo keeps his focus on the operating room, the film tracks ambition and image in a district where appearance is its own currency.
