Mudbound

DramaWar135 min

In post-World War II Mississippi, a white farming family and the Black family working their land are bound together by mud, debt, and the South’s violent racial order. Carey Mulligan and Jason Clarke are at the center of the white household, while Rob Morgan and Mary J. Blige lead the family whose labor keeps the farm going. When veterans from each side return home — Jason Mitchell from one family, Garrett Hedlund from the other — wartime trauma and their friendship bring the region’s racism into even sharper focus.
