Owen Wilson is Reggie, a wary turkey whose comfortable life changes when Jake (Woody Harrelson), a battle-minded bird from a very different flock, recruits him for an impossible mission. Using a time machine, the pair head back to the first Thanksgiving, hoping to rewrite history and take turkey off the holiday menu for good. Their trip drops them into colonial America, where Reggie and Jake have to work together despite clashing instincts, a ticking plan, and the problem of changing a tradition before it starts.
