Munich: The Edge of War

DramaFamilyThrillerWar130 min

As Europe edges toward war in 1938, two former Oxford friends find themselves on opposite sides of a crisis unfolding around the Munich conference. One works in the British government, close to Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain; the other is a German diplomat who has seen where Hitler’s rule is heading. Reunited in a city crowded with negotiators, spies, and police, they try to pass secret information that could change what Britain understands about Germany’s intentions. George MacKay and Jannis Niewöhner anchor a story of private loyalties under public pressure, as every meeting, document, and delay carries the risk of exposure while leaders bargain over the fate of Czechoslovakia.
